Who we are
Tech Avenue (“Tech Avenue”, “we”, “us”, “our”) runs the online store at thetechavenue.shop (the “Site”) and sells handheld game consoles, wireless headsets, smart telescopes, hair styling tools and subwoofers to customers in the United States. Tech Avenue decides how and why your personal information is used, and our contact details appear at the end of this policy.
This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the choices you have. It covers the Site and our customer support channels, but not the websites or apps of other companies, including the companion apps and online services that some of our products use.
What we collect
Details you give us when you order. Your name, billing and delivery addresses, email address, phone number, the items you buy and any delivery notes.
Account details. If you open an account: your login email, an encrypted password, saved addresses and order history.
Support conversations. Messages you send by email, phone or our contact form, plus any photos, videos or files you attach, such as pictures of a damaged parcel or a video of a fault.
Compatibility details. When you ask whether a product will suit your setup, you may share information such as the games or apps you want to run, the size of your venue or the model of your phone. We use this only to answer you and keep it with your support record.
Email preferences. If you subscribe to our emails, your address, the date you signed up and the consent you gave.
Technical data collected automatically. Your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, approximate location based on IP address, the page that referred you, pages viewed and time on each page. This is collected through cookies and similar tools, described below.
Payment details
Card details are entered into a secure checkout field and sent directly to our payment processor. Tech Avenue never receives or stores your full card number or security code. We receive only limited data such as the card brand, the last four digits, the billing ZIP code and whether the payment was approved. The processor may use the data it receives to authorize payments and screen for fraud under its own privacy policy.

Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share information only with companies that help us run the store, and only what they need:
- our payment processor, to take payments and check for fraud;
- parcel carriers, to deliver your order and provide tracking;
- our website hosting and ecommerce platform providers;
- our email service, to send order emails and, if you opted in, marketing emails;
- our analytics provider, to report on how the Site is used in aggregate.
Each of these providers must protect your information and may use it only to provide its service to us.
We may also disclose information if the law, a court order or a valid government request requires it; to enforce our Terms & Conditions; to protect the rights, property or safety of Tech Avenue, our customers or others; or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case the new owner must honor this policy for the information it receives.
Marketing emails
We email you about products and offers only if you opt in. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email support@thetechavenue.shop to be removed. Unsubscribing does not stop messages about orders you have placed, such as confirmations, tracking updates and warranty replies.
Cookies
| Cookie type | Purpose | Your control |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keeps items in your cart, keeps you signed in and protects checkout forms | Required for the Site to work |
| Preference | Remembers choices such as recently viewed items | Can be blocked in your browser |
| Analytics | Measures visits and navigation in aggregate so we can improve the Site | Can be blocked in your browser or through the analytics provider’s opt-out |
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop the cart and checkout from working.
Where applicable law requires it, we honor Global Privacy Control browser signals as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising in any case.
How long we keep it
- Order and payment records: seven years, for tax and accounting purposes.
- Warranty records: the length of the warranty plus twelve months.
- Support conversations: up to three years after your last contact.
- Account details: until you close your account.
- Marketing records: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep a suppression entry so we don’t email you again.
When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect it
Every page of the Site is served over an encrypted TLS connection. Only staff and service providers who need customer information for their work can access it, and accounts with access to order data are protected with strong passwords. No system is completely secure. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Your rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:
- find out what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
- correct information that is inaccurate;
- have information deleted, subject to legal exceptions such as records we must keep for tax purposes;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising or profiling (we do none of these);
- exercise these rights without being treated differently.
California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, you have the rights above. In the past twelve months we have collected identifiers, commercial information, internet activity data and approximate location for the purposes listed in this policy, and disclosed them only to the service providers listed above. We have not sold or shared personal information.
Making a request. Email support@thetechavenue.shop with “Privacy request” in the subject line, or call (404) 781-1589. We verify your identity by matching the details you give us with our records. An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf with your signed written permission. We respond within 45 days and will tell you if we need an extension permitted by law.
Appeals. If we deny your request, reply to our decision to appeal it. We will answer your appeal in writing within the time your state’s law requires.
Children
The Site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Updates to this policy
We may revise this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. For significant changes, we will post a notice on the Site or email account holders before the change takes effect.
